This is a wonderful opportunity for both beginners and experienced students to deepen their practice of Ashtanga yoga with Gillian in the beautiful setting of the Itria valley, Puglia, Southern Italy. The day will begin with Mysore Style classes and there will also be three-afternoon workshops focusing on the key elements of the Ashtanga Yoga system including the principles of Back Bending, Inversions and Transitions. The international airport at Brindisi is approximately 40 minutes drive away and Bari is further to the north approximately 55 minutes drive. Ryanair has direct flights from Dublin to both airports. Experience the traditional Ashtanga Yoga method with careful emphasis on the traditional vinyasa system. We will be moving through the Primary series to help you understand the dynamics and the breakdown of this system. There will be a strong focus on key alignment techniques, providing you with concrete information to flow through your practice from one posture to another more fluidly. There will also be a strong focus on how to apply the Tristana method of breath, posture and focal point to train the mind transforming your physical practice into a moving meditation. Previous experience of Ashtanga Yoga required. All Mysore practitioners are encouraged to attend.

These monthly workshops are suitable for all levels (including complete beginners) that would like to learn the traditional way to practice Ashtanga Yoga. You will be guided through the correct breathing technique and a series of the basic fundamental postures. You will develop a strong foundation and the confidence to transition into the Mysore classes.
Introductory workshop plus one month of unlimited classes - €100 or Introductory workshop only – €35.
