Ashtanga Vinyasa Workshop (part 1)

An in-depth exploration of the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa System (breath and movement co-ordination.) We will be moving through the first half of the Primary series (up to navasana) to help you understand the dynamics and the breakdown of this system. There will be a strong focus on key alignment techniques, providing you with concrete information to flow through your practice from one posture to another more fluidly. There will also be a strong focus on how to apply the Tristana method of breath, posture and focal point to train the mind transforming your physical practice into a moving meditation. Open to all levels.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Workshop (part 2)

An in-depth exploration of the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa System (breath and movement coordination.) We will be moving through the second half of the Primary series, including Back Bending techniques and the closing series. There will be a strong focus on key alignment techniques, providing you with concrete information to flow through your practice from one posture to another more fluidly. There will also be a strong focus on how to apply the Tristana method of breath, posture and focal point to train the mind transforming your physical practice into a moving meditation. (Suitable for those already practicing the primary and/or intermediate series.)

 

€35 per workshop or €65 for both

Monthly Introductory Mysore Ashtanga workshops

  • Saturdays from 10.00am – 12.00pm

  • October 7th
  • November 4th
  • December 2nd
  • January 6th 2018

These monthly workshops are suitable for all levels (including complete beginners) that would like to learn the traditional way to practice Ashtanga Yoga. You will be guided through the correct breathing technique and a series of the basic fundamental postures. You will develop a strong foundation and the confidence to transition into the Mysore classes.

Introductory class plus one month of unlimited classes – €100 or Introductory class alone – €30.

Aware Christmas Yoga Event

Roll out your mats for our annual Christmas Event in aid of Aware (www.aware.ie) It’s a great way to raise money (through participation, sponsorship or donations) for Aware’s nationwide free-of-charge services for people who experience depression or bipolar disorder and their loved ones.

New Year Retreat

Escape for a weekend of Ashtanga yoga and amazing organic vegetarian food at the idyllic Monalea retreat centre! This weekend will be a deep immersion in traditional Ashtanga yoga consisting of morning mysore style classes, afternoon workshops and evening guided meditation classes. The retreat centre is nested in a valley on the high hills on the Wicklow Wexford border less than an hour from Dublin.It’s a peaceful haven with many walks and woodlands nearby including delicious organic vegetarian food and shared en-suite accommodation.
